Key Stage 2

"Jesus' religious life was that of a Jew obedient to the law of God, a life in the community. From this whole period it is revealed to us that Jesus was ‘obedient’ to his parents and that he ‘increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favour with God and man.’"
Catechism of the Catholic Church 531

"Jesus’ invitation to enter his kingdom comes in the form of parables, a characteristic feature of his teaching. Through his parables he invites people to the feast of the kingdom, but he also asks for a radical choice: to gain the kingdom, one must give everything. Words are not enough, deeds are required."
Catechism of the Catholic Church 546
