Blessing the Christmas crib
| Teacher | We invite Mary to be with us as we gather together to bless our crib. |
| Together we say: |
Hail Mary full of grace |
| Child 1 | Be with us God of peace as we prepare to welcome your Son into our world and into our hearts. |
| Child 2 | May the crib remind us of the wonder of this feast. Bless all who come to our school and homes this Christmas. |
| Child 3 | May the animals we place here be a sign of gentle care. Help us to be a sign of gentleness to those we meet. |
| Child 4 | May the shepherds who brought simple gifts for the baby Jesus, Help us to value simple gifts and to be grateful for them. |
| Child 5 | May the angels who brought the good news of the birth of this baby, help us to bring good news to those who are with us this Christmas. |
| Child 6 | May the love and joy Mary and Joseph felt on that first Christmas night fill our hearts this Christmas. |
| Child 7 | May the star of Bethlehem which shone so brightly over the first crib, shine over our homes and school and give love, hope and joy to all of us. |
